What is the break-even edge?
The gross return needed to cover entry fees, exit fees, execution costs on both sides and any signed funding assumption. All percentages use position notional, not margin.
FREE STRATEGY COST SIMULATOR
Turn a gross return into an estimated net result. See your break-even edge and compare exchange fees, before sharing a single trade.
These modeled costs exceed your assumed edge.
Same USD notional at entry and exit, on every trade. No compounding, tax, liquidation or fill simulation. Exit fees on actual trades change with exit value. Funding is excluded. Positive results do not establish a profitable strategy.
SAME STRATEGY · DIFFERENT FEES
Published base-tier fees. Your gross return, execution cost and funding assumption stay identical across venues to isolate trading-fee differences.

UNDERSTAND THE ESTIMATE
This calculator stress-tests your assumptions; it does not run your strategy on historical prices. Enter the average return across all completed trades, including losses, before any costs. If your backtest already includes commissions, use its gross return rather than subtracting fees again.
The gross return needed to cover entry fees, exit fees, execution costs on both sides and any signed funding assumption. All percentages use position notional, not margin.
Monthly net = position notional × completed trades × net return per trade. Position size is fixed, so this does not assume reinvestment or predict future profit.
Published base tiers provide a starting point. VIP status, region, product and token discounts can change your fees. Choose “My own fee rates” to use rates from your account.
Formula: net % = gross % − entry fee % − exit fee % − 2 × execution cost per side % − signed funding cost %. If enabled, funding cost % = cost per 8h % × holding hours ÷ 8. This is a time-weighted assumption; actual funding is settled at contract-specific times.

HYPOTHETICAL EXAMPLES
These fixed examples explain the calculation. They are not current exchange quotes or returns from a tested strategy.
Assume a 0.08% gross return per completed trade and 0.05% fees on both entry and exit. With no other costs, break-even is 0.10% and net return is −0.02%. At $1,000 notional and 100 completed trades, the modeled monthly result is −$20.
Assume a 1% gross return, 0.05% fees per side and 0.02% execution cost per side. Total costs are 0.14% and net return is 0.86%. At $1,000 notional and 20 completed trades, the modeled monthly result is $172. Funding is excluded in both examples.
A hypothetical funding cost of 0.01% per 8h over a 24-hour hold adds 0.03% under this linear model. Negative input represents a credit. Actual payments depend on position direction, rates and settlement times; this assumption is not a live quote.
Spot scenarios exclude perpetual funding. For futures, use position notional including leverage, rather than collateral. Choose entry and exit maker/taker roles independently, or enter your account's own fee rates. A cheaper commission does not guarantee a fill or better execution.
